<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Engineer (SSBO)<BR>Tracking Code<BR>175831-950<BR>Job Description<BR><BR>PURPOSE<BR>Incumbent is responsible for the development and optimization of all assigned product incorporating processing techniques and best practice methodologies in order to produce high quality, statistically repeatable investment castings. <BR>Essential Job Functions:<BR>* Participate in the concurrent engineering process with customers.<BR>* Responsible for gating design and metallurgical quality.<BR>* Ability to evaluate metallurgical and NDTE results.<BR>* Perform hands-on manufacturing process review and root cause analysis.<BR>* Develop and maintain necessary tools and procedures to meet customers’ blueprints.<BR>* Coordinate with QA and production personnel in preparing necessary information to produce investment castings.<BR>* Responsible for preparing design specifications, requirements compliance, and customer interface on production information for manufacturing.<BR>* Assist in preparing quotes.<BR>* Establish development timetables for new jobs.<BR>* Ability to handle many projects with tight deadlines<BR>* Participate in correcting engineering related problems.<BR>* Review customer drawings and specification changes for impact.<BR>* Issue technique cards and work instructions.<BR>* Work with the Product Engineer and the computer database to determine costs of specific operations and pursue appropriate cost reduction opportunities.<BR>* Develop part router in accordance with PCC procedures and customer requirements.<BR>* Identify and address safety considerations within the scope of their job responsibilities.<BR>* Plan and manage part metallurgical qualification (ESA, VSE).<BR>* May supervise other engineers or technicians on assigned projects.<BR>Required Experience<BR><BR>EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:<BR>* Requires a BS degree in engineering with 8-10 years relevant experience, or an MS degree in engineering with 5-7 years relevant experience OR equivalent experience.<BR>* Broad knowledge of mechanical, industrial, materials science engineering along with investment casting technology.<BR>* Knowledge and demonstrated ability in engineering principles and disciplines; employed manufacturing processes; statistical analysis (data correlation); technical report and article preparation; preparing specifications; ability to define, plan, and complete major projects; ability to supervise/direct activities of professionals with diverse expertise.<BR>* High ability to interface with team members in a motivating and constructive way<BR>* Experience using Computer Aided Design, Statistical programs, Excel, Solidview, Unigraphics or Catia skills is preferred.<BR>Job Location<BR>Portland, OR, US.<BR>Position Type<BR>Full-Time/Regular<BR>- Submit/Create a new r?sum?/CV for this posting<BR>- Use an existing r?sum?/CV to submit for this posting<BR>- Email this posting to a friend </font></td>
