               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Enterprise Coding Auditor/Trainer<BR> <BR>Department Enterprise Coding<BR> <BR>Location FAB 800<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position working days Monday-Friday, with a salary range of $23.24 - $31.63/hour. This position is located in downtown Portland.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Enterprise Coding Auditor is responsible for auditing and training the Enterprise coding staff, both Outpatient Facility, Daypatient, and Professional services and assists the Coding Manager and Supervisors in ensuring quality and accuracy of the work produced by coders within this department. Works with coders to meet productivity standards while ensuring accurate and compliant coding. Monitors coding and abstracting quality by conducting and/or coordinating ongoing audits. Serves as the primary trainer for Professional Services, Daypatient and Outpatient Facility newly hired coding staff as well as ongoing education. Provides ongoing education to providers and specialty departments ensuring compliance with CMS billing regulations, PATH rules and other Federal, State and all other regulatory and internal university guidelines.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Requires a Bachelors degree in a related field and extensive outpatient facility coding and professional services experience in an acute care facility and three (3) years relevant experience 'doing all hospital coding' assigning ICD 9 diagnoses and procedure codes, Evaluation and Management services, CPT, and HCPCS codes. OR five (5) years relevant experience 'doing all hospital coding' assigning ICD 9 diagnoses and procedure codes, Evaluation and Management services, CPT, and HCPCS codes. Certifiied Professional Coder -CPC, AAPC, Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS). Ability to develop and present training curricula for coders and healthcare providers based on analysis of audit data. Must be proficient in Outpatient Prospective Payment Systems, National Correct Coding Initiative, ICD 9 CM Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting and Coding Clinic. Knowledge of reimbursement systems. Knowledge of laws and regulations pertaining to health information (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, OSHPD, DHS, Uniform Health Care Information Act) required. Must be able to work in a Labor Management Partnership environment. Knowledge of UHDDs definitions, CPT Assistant, Coding Clinic for ICD-9-C, HCPCS, OPPS reporting requirements & regulations pertaining to coding and documentation, i.e. CMS, OPPS, APC.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Oregon Health & Science University values a diverse and culturally competent workforce.
