This role would include owning, tracking, and resolving database related incidents and requests, fulfilling requests and resolving incidents within SLAs, responding to database related alerts and escalations, participating in key solution development and implementation, DBA representation within key organization project teams, manage projects and processes, and developing strategic solutions to recurring problems.<BR><BR>Essential Functions and Responsibilities<BR>&bull;Perform database installation/implementation <BR>&bull;Perform database setup configuration<BR>&bull;Perform database monitoring <BR>&bull;Perform database troubleshooting and resolution<BR>&bull;Perform database performance tuning and optimization (PTO)<BR>&bull;Perform database capacity sizing/tuning<BR>&bull;Perform database updates/upgrades<BR>&bull;Perform database maintenance/jobs <BR>&bull;Perform index management and statistics<BR>&bull;Perform database export/import<BR>&bull;Perform database backups, restores, recoveries<BR>&bull;Perform database data set refreshes<BR>&bull;Perform SQL queries (select)<BR>&bull;Design, implement, and maintain database administration, security, standardization, and best practices strategies<BR>&bull;Design, implement, and maintain database maintenance (backup and restore) strategies<BR>&bull;Design, implement, and maintain database instances performance, capacity, and uptime strategies<BR>&bull;Handle escalations<BR>&bull;Research of new technologies and solutions<BR>&bull;Reviews, advises and designs standard software and hardware builds, system options, risks, costs vs. benefits and impact on the enterprise business process and goals for the database servers<BR>&bull;Provides assistance, technical recommendations and direction to project administrators and management on the planning to support development projects.<BR>&bull;Recommends and aids in the definition of database, OS and storage strategies, policies, standards, and procedures which are consistent with the client mission<BR>&bull;Plans, organizes, schedules, and forecasts in an efficient/productive manner.<BR>&bull;Focuses on key priorities and effectively manages multiple projects and resources<BR>&bull;Interfaces with Development, Project Management and Business Analyst teams<BR>&bull;Perform other duties assigned<BR><BR>Specific Job Skills<BR>&bull;Excellent troubleshooting methodology<BR>&bull;Excellent root cause analysis and remediation methodology<BR>&bull;Excellent documentation skills<BR>&bull;Excellent SQL query background<BR>&bull;Excellent knowledge of database management<BR>&bull;Excellent understanding of database architecture and design<BR>&bull;Strong knowledge of server and storage soluti                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         </font></td>
