<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Equipment Materials Developer- II<BR>Location: OR-Portland<BR>Job Number:_00077943<BR>As one of our Equipment Materials Developer 2 , you'll use advanced materials knowledge and collaborative skills to help create and execute a materials strategy, and be accountable for on-time commercialization of resources. You'll be responsible for seasonal materials project execution and on-time commercialization of complex Equipment products and projects. This includes the aesthetic approval of materials, decision making on materials issues, and communication of the category materials strategy. You'll also execute sustainability initiatives. You'll collaborate with Design and Product Management to create and execute a materials strategy for the Hardgoods Equipment Center of Excellence and the seasonal themes that support business goals and meet the needs of the core consumers. You'll execute materials projects that fall between seasonal developments and the longer term projects being executed by the Equipment Innovation Team (EI). You'll research fabric trends and new innovations. You'll drive analysis and materials reviews that result in gender/category materials consolidation. You'll collaborate with the Product Development Team to insure that sourcing decisions are made to drive financial results and best practices for the business across the matrix. You'll be responsible for providing pricing information for quick costs. In addition you'll communicate with the liaison offices on areas of focus for materials price negotiations.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>* Bachelor's degree in Apparel/Textile design or a related field and a minimum of 5 years' apparel experience <BR>* 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree<BR>* Advanced knowledge of materials construction and properties<BR>* Superior understanding of the product design and development process from inception through final adoption<BR>* Ability to provide a materials aesthetic and performance point of view with corresponding material options/solutions at seasonal product creation checkpoints<BR>* Advanced technical materials and textile knowledge, with primary focus on genuine & synthetic leathers, fibers, yarns, knit and woven fabrications<BR>* Knowledge of textile manufacturing, dyeing and finishing<BR>* Ability to partner with a materials vendor and global liaison offices to develop materials from concept to production<BR>* Knowledge of the cut and sew" manufacturing process<BR>* Ability to collaborate with internal and external teams to drive the material lab and wear-testing processes <BR>* Proficiency with Microsoft office applications and Product Data Management systems<BR>* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations<BR>* Strong information seeking-skills and a drive to make things happen<BR>* Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management<BR>* Abil </font></td>
