               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Financial Analyst 3<BR> <BR>Department Hospital Financial Services<BR> <BR>Location FAB 650<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Schedule: M - F 8:00am - 5:00pm; Salary Range: $62,836 - $87,936/annually; Location: Fifth Avenue Building, Downtown Portland.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The purpose of this position is to coordinate the functions of the operating budget templates and the operating budget workbooks for the OHSU Hospitals & Clinics. Develop budget templates and workbooks during the operating budget cycle. Budget information must be analyzed and validated for accuracy. The position will participate in budget drop in sessions/training for our customers during the budget season. This position will lead the workload process for all Hospitals and Clinics; gathering, reporting and analyzing these for accuracy. Annual review of workload drivers will be completed. The position will lead Workload Trends reporting which requires the validation of information from queries out of EPIC. Coordinates the monthly financial report training with our external customers at the department level, to include one-on-one financial training. Assist in long term strategic planning reports and external survey reports. Produce Executive level reports for the Administrative team and ad hoc projects as necessary.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and five (5) years of financial analysis experience; If from a related field, candidate must have 18 hours of accounting courses from an accredited college or university. Highly proficient use of computers including database and spreadsheet applications, including the use of pivot tables, macros, and embedded formulas; Effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature. Also be able to communicate independently without guidance. Consistent independent performance of financial analysis and evaluation in cases of a complex or unusual nature, preparing presentations for and making recommendations to unit leaders. Responsible for financial compliance, regulatory, tax, other reporting/filing to outside entities with high complexity and risk; Applies knowledge of generally; Consistent independent performance of financial analysis and evaluation in cases of a complex or unusual nature, preparing presentations for and making recommendations to unit leaders.
