               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Flex Surgical Services Technician<BR> <BR>Department Perioperative Services<BR> <BR>Location OHS 6A4<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is a Flex position (0.03 FTE) working a variable schedule 7:00am to 7:30pm. The salary range for this position is $18.39- $24.92/hour. This position is located at Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Flex Scrub Tech (ST) performs the delegated duties that ensure that the OR environment is safe, that equipment is cleaned and functions appropriately, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. The ST possesses expertise in the application of sterile and aseptic technique; he/she combines the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to safely facilitate invasive and/or diagnostic procedures. The ST has the ability to manage stressful/unusual situations in a positive manner, and embraces the OHSU Core Competencies (Accountability, Collaboration, Communication, Diversity, Integrity, Respect, Service Orientation, Teamwork) into his/her practice.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Successful completion of a Surgical Technology program from a community college; OR one (1) year of experience, within the last five (5) years, in a surgical procedure room setting including assembling supplies and instruments; preparing room for surgery; and participating as a scrubbed member of the surgical team. Must have excellent communication and listening skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a team, and the flexibility to prioritize and adapt in stressful situations. BLS certification issued by the American Heart Associateion. Preferred: CST. Two (2) years of experience scrubbing in a variety of specialties.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Requires prioritization of multiple projects, activities, and assignments. May be exposed to excessive auditory and visual stimulation. May be exposed to body fluids, tissue, and infectious processes. Subject to computer work for several hours, as needed.
