               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Footwear Advanced Materials Research Director<BR>Location: OR-Portland<BR>Job Number:_00065679<BR>As the Footwear Advanced Materials Research Director, you will set and drive the agenda for foundational research and development in materials, which fuel and support the overall development efforts for new materials, bringing revolutionary materials innovation to Nike products. You will drive the advanced materials science agenda in regards to: Manufacturing Initiatives, Performance Innovation and Sustainability. As Footwear AMR Director you will lead a team of technical professionals and direct overall research efforts and projects in materials group. A primary responsibility of the job will be to meet with key partners across the business to provide direction and drive. This position will also utilize outside research organizations, universities, internal testing facilities, etc. to help increase our understanding of materials and better utilize them for a competitive advantage. <BR><BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Requirements for the Position:<BR>-     Bachelor&#39;s Degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant experience in materials, product creation or directly related field.<BR>-     Footwear experience strongly preferred<BR>-     Strong communication and influencing skills with the capability to take complex information and create a clear compelling story.<BR>-     Ability to position Nike externally for success with all aspects of material science.<BR>-     Ability to drive the advanced materials science agenda in regards to: Manufacturing Revolution, Performance Innovation and Sustainability<BR>-     Leadership of a small team of wide technical skilled professionals as direct reports as well as indirect reports.<BR>-     Ability to understand materials selection and use across a wide variety of materials including polymer, plastic, foam, rubber and textile materials<BR>-     Strong network of contacts across the materials industry - Proven background in material science is preferred<BR>-     Proven ability to take projects from early stage development through application engineering  commercialization.<BR>-     Strategic thinking around material supply, development, and innovation<BR>-     Tolerance of ambiguity and the role of the technical in a non-technical environment.<BR>-     Passion for materials and the role materials play in performance product<BR>-     Influencing skills across, down, up and outside the organization<BR><BR>Job: Product Development & Engineering                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 </font></td>
