               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Gastrointestional Assistant/Technician<BR> <BR>Department GI Laboratory<BR> <BR>Location MNP 3310<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is a temporary position. 1.0 FTE; Schedule: M - F days; Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The GI Assistant/Technician provides assistance to the physician and registered nurse during diagnostic and therapeutic GI adult procedures. Prepares the room prior to the start of the procedure and between cases. Rotates through as scope cleaner. Overnight and 24 hr/day weekend call is an expectation of this role. This position will primarily focus on scope cleaning while our current scope cleaner is on leave.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Formal medical related education (CNA, MA, Scrub Technician, LPN, RCP). Hospital/clinic experience working with equipment. Knowledge of GI anatomy and physiology. BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. Preferred: One (1) year experience as GI Tech or scrub tech or sterile processing tech. Strong technical background.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Constant exposure to usual hospital environmental conditions.Exposure to x-ray. Exposure to cleaning chemicals as well as high level disinfectants.
