Friday; 1.0 FTE; Salary: $65,000; Location: Center for Health and Healing, South Waterfront<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>The Department of Family Medicine is recruiting to fill four one-year fellowship positions, with a focus on either Clinical or Educational Leadership. The fellowship positions report to the Vice-Chairs and Chair of the Department of Family Medicine and will hold the rank of Instructor. The fellows will have responsibilities in patient care, teaching, administration, and self-education.<BR>The purpose of a fellowship is to provide a foundation to be successful as an academic family physician, including as an administrator, educator, scholar, and clinician.<BR>By the end of the Fellowship, the fellows should be able to:<BR>1. Analyze organizational culture to determine effective strategies for integrating into an organization.<BR>2. Demonstrate effective use of situational leadership styles.<BR>3. Identify personal and professional priorities and develop strategies for balancing these priorities.<BR>4. Develop effective skills for teaching students and residents in small and large group environments.<BR>5. Develop methods to turn educational and administrative efforts into scholarly efforts.<BR>6.
