               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Instructor/Feeding Clinic Dietitian<BR> <BR>Department CDRC<BR> <BR>Location CDRC 4212<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> .60 FTE: Salary commensurate with experience: Location: Marquam Hill<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>In this unique position, the dietitian works as part of an interdisciplinary feeding team alongside a developmental pediatrician, pediatric nurse practitioner, speech language pathologist, occupational therapist and psychologist to provide a full-child approach to treatment of pediatric feeding and swallowing disorders. We serve the children from birth to age 21 who have poor weight gain and feeding difficulties related to prematurity, neurologic disorders, genetic and congenital syndromes, cranio-facial anomalies, gastrointestinal disorders, chronic lung disease and autism.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><BR><BR>The CDRC serves a complex patient population. The dietitian works alongside professionals with years of experience working in the field of pediatric dysphagia and feeding and is a respected part of the team. Responsibilities include evaluation growth and weight status, drug nutrient interactions, management of food allergies and intolerances, determining enteral nutrition needs and guiding families while weaning off nutrition supplementation. Care coordination with community providers is key to this position. The CDRC values thorough and continuing care; team members provide excellent support to families between visits through open channels of communication.<BR><BR>Additional functions:<BR>Additional functions may include participation in monthly meetings and journal club. Mentorship to dietetic interns, as applicable. Completing all training required by OHSU. Remaining current on research and evidence based practices in the realm of pediatric nutrition, feeding and associated complications. Additional functions may be required as determined by management.<BR><BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Minimum Qualifications:<BR>Education:Bachelor of Science Degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition or a related field.<BR>Licenses/Certificates/Registration: Registered Dietitian in good standing with the Commission on Dietetics Registration. Licensure by the Oregon Health Licensing Board is required upon hire.<BR>Experience:3 years of work experience required. Prior pediatric experience is preferred, including clinical knowledge of pediatric medical conditions and their effects on growth, development and feeding; as well as an understanding of normal infant and toddler feeding. Breastfeeding support and knowledge strongly desired.<BR>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must be willing and able to work around infants and children. Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time are essential to this position.
