The inpatient Cardiovascular Medicine physician?s assistant/nurse practitioner (NP/PA) will be an integral member of the OHSU-Cardiovascular Medicine team. The NP/PA will work in partnership with faculty physicians, fellows, residents, and other providers to provide excellent clinical care and customer service in the cardiovascular medicine inpatient arena. The NP/PA will provide direct clinical care to patients admitted to our non-teaching service and to our post-procedure observation patients.<BR>The primary duties of this position include writing scheduled cardiovascular admission orders, for providing continuity of care, and for coordinating the inpatient workflow of admissions and discharges; participating in daily rounds, and attend relevant educational conferences; along with others maintain and update most cardiovascular pre-printed order sets for the clinical service; and be familiar with active cardiovascular treatment protocols. The NP/PA will interface closely with the inpatient/outpatient nursing team in a clinical and teaching capacity.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Requirements include an NP with Master's Degree in Nursing or MS with BSN or PA with Current national certification; current Oregon NP/PA license at start date; ANCC Board Certification or NAPNAP as a Nurse Practitioner in the specific area of specialization; Prescriptive Authority (DEA License); and licensure under Cardiovascular Medicine MD.<BR>NP?s must have 3-5 years Nursing experience in Cardiovascular Medicine (can be as a staff RN).<BR>PA?s must have a minimum of one year experience in cardiovascular medicine; membership in professional organization; successful completion of an accredited Physician's Assistant Program; passing score on national certification exam administered by National Board of Medical Examiners and the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants.  <BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>How To Apply <BR> <BR> Apply here online.
