All creative efforts are coordinated with the client to maintain the integrity of the brand. The Designer must thrive in a professional, fast-paced environment, juggling multiple projects at once from concept to completion. He/she must be able to answer design problems creatively and have an awareness of current trends in design and visual communications. He/she must have working knowledge of print technology and production. The ideal candidate has a passion for design, stays current on emerging design trends, and understands the constraints of a time line. He/she will work closely with the Art Directors, Copywriters, Illustrators, Photographers, Production and Prepress to create and deliver compelling design solutions.Responsibilities<BR>* Work closely with Art Directors to create and implement design concepts<BR>* Work in creative Suite blindfolded<BR>* Ability to receive design direction and execute and problem solve based upon feedback from Art Directors<BR>* Execute creative concepts/story lines based upon thumbnails and oversight from Art Directors<BR>* Executes concepts into pencil sketches<BR>* Follows projects throughout all stages of from conception/photography/layout to print production<BR>* Keen eye for detail and a passion for typography<BR>* Interacts regularly with team members as needed for completion of assigned projects<BR>* Solves client challenges through smart creative design<BR>* Performs other duties as assigned or requested<BR>Required Skills<BR>Job Knowledge & Skills<BR>* Bachelor’s degree in discipline related field with 2+ yrs. of experience in creative efforts for high-profile clients<BR>* Possesses a strong portfolio of imaginative work<BR>* Demonstration of strong typographic interest and proficiency<BR>* Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while meeting set deadlines<BR>* Ability to handle assignments or requests for graphics and design work in partnership with the Art Directors to develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope/complexity<BR>* Self Starter with organizational abilities in multitasking and time management, while working under general supervision<BR>* Ability to communicate clearly and concisely through words, graphics, use of color, layout and design<BR>* Knowledge of print production including color process and knowledge of industry techniques and standards<BR>* Retail/Catalogue experience a plus<BR>* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to listen for understanding to execute the work according to the clients needs<BR>* Well versed on Macintosh platform (OSX) and industry standard applications:,Creative Suite, Experience with routing and digital proofing systems<BR>Required Experience<BR><BR>Job Location<BR>Portland, OR, US.<BR>Position Type<BR>Full-Time/Regular </font></td>
