<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Knight Finance Director<BR> <BR>Department Knight Cancer Institute<BR> <BR>Location HRC 14D40<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Salary: Commensurate with education and experience; Location: Marquam Hill<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This position functions as a senior finance leader, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the Knight Cancer Institute. The primary purpose of the position is to work with the Knight Executive Leadership regarding all financial matters pertaining to the Knight Cancer Institute; provide strategic leadership in financial planning, strategy, analysis, reporting and oversight for all financial activities in the Knight Cancer Institute; work collaboratively with other units at the University, including but not limited to School of Medicine Deans office, Corporate Financial Services and Health Care Financial Services; provide data driven fiscal proposals, analysis, and projections for business and administrative activities; develop fiscally viability and accountability data from internal and external sources to provide a basis for creating new and modifying existing fiscal and operational models; and represent the Knight in various OHSU finance groups and task forces.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Requirements include a Bachelor?s degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; leadership experience in financial management; a minimum of five years progressive experience in either an academic environment or a large, complex, diverse organization with emphasis on financial management, business development, and strategic planning; in depth knowledge of financial planning, accounting, and budgeting; skilled in creating financial models and forecasting; ability to think critically and strategically; ability to analyze and implement necessary internal financial controls; ability to be persuasive and professional in verbal and written communications with multiple constituencies including employees, customers and peers; ability to foster and model an effective customer service; ability to provide management direction in an environment of change; a willingness to make difficult and challenging decisions; and able to foster creatively and problem solving.
