<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Layout Inspector<BR>Tracking Code<BR>175905-950<BR>Job Description<BR><BR>MISSION:<BR>To verify specified dimensional measurements on parts in order to assure compliance with PCC and industry standards, and customer specifications, using automated coordinate measuring machines (CMM) or conventional measuring devices; to inspect new and revised tools and fixtures to assure compliance with specifications; to calibrate and adjust a variety of precision measuring devices; to prepare layout and calibration documentation.<BR>PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:<BR>1. Layout Inspection<BR>Objective: to position, measure and inspect specified dimensional features of castings, wax patterns, fixtures, and tools to assure compliance with dimensional specifications.<BR>Essential Job Functions:<BR>2. Identifies and interprets casting, wax pattern, fixture, dies and tool dimensions on blueprints.<BR>3. Constructs three-dimensional plane coordinates for measurement reference as defined on blueprints.<BR>4. Completes a variety of mathematical calculations, including technical math, analytic geometry and trigonometry.<BR>5. Measures specified dimensions using a wide variety of devices; records manually or enters into computerized storage. (all plants). Inputs dimensional coordinates into CMM for computerized measurement recording. (LPC, Non-essential activity at SSBO).<BR>6. Compares measurements to customer requirements, PCC and industry standards.<BR>7. Prepares and reviews layout reports; describes measurements taken as needed.<BR>8. Evaluates and analyzes measurement data with engineering departments.<BR><BR><BR>2. Source Inspection<BR>Objective: to review vendor inspection techniques to verify accuracy and completeness of vendor layout reports and calibrations.<BR>Essential Job Functions:<BR>Conducts source inspections at tooling and fixture vendors.<BR>3. Calibration<BR>Objective: To calibrate and adjust measuring devices, fixtures and gauges on scheduled basis; to maintain complete and accurate calibration records on dimensional measuring devices as required by PCC and customers specifications.<BR>Essential Job Functions:<BR>1. Calibrates and adjusts fixtures.<BR>2. Calibrates and adjusts precision measuring tools.<BR>3. Calibrates and adjusts gauges. (LSBO & SSBO only).<BR>4. Acts as representative of PCC in customer and government audits of calibration program.<BR>5. Maintains completed and accurate records of calibration results.<BR>4. Safety<BR><BR>Objective: To take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices.<BR><BR>Essential Job Functions:<BR><BR>1. Adheres to plant and department safety rules.<BR>2.
