We offer our clients expert claims handling and are known for exceptional service. We have a challenging opportunity for Liability Claims Adjuster. This position can be located in any Argo US, Inc. office. Responsibilities The primary responsibilities are: * Analyze applicable coverage for all submitted claims and determine whether the loss falls within the policy coverage * Investigate claims promptly and thoroughly to determine liability * Interview involved parties * Prepare correspondence and reports for file documentation * Evaluate claims and establish appropriate reserves * Negotiate settlements * Manage claims in litigation * Manage diary and complete tasks to ensure that cases move to the best financial outcome and timely resolution. * Identify, assign, and coordinate the assignment and coordination of expertise resources to assist in case resolution. * Applying creative solutions which result in the best financial outcome. * Processing mail and prioritizing workload. * Responsible for telephone calls from various parties (insured, claimant, etc.). * Have an appreciation and passion for strong claim management. Qualifications The experience requirements are: · Bachelors degree, or equivalent relevant experience required · At least 3 years work experience, preferably in handling third party liability claims · Excellent interpersonal skills · Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required * Must have good business acumen (i.e. understand how an insurance company works and makes money, including how this role impacts both Argo Insurance?s and our customers? ability to be profitable). · Polished and professional written and verbal communication skills. The ability to read, speak and write English fluently is required. The ability to read, speak and write Spanish fluently is considered a plus. · A strong focus on execution in getting things done right. Proven ability to consistently produce and deliver expected results to all stakeholders. · Client focus - the ability to effectively determine specific client needs and to provide value added solutions. · Demonstrates inner strength. Has the courage to do the right thing and demonstrates it on a daily basis. · Intellectual curiosity.
