               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Maintenance Lead<BR>Location: Woods Equipment Company | Oregon, IL<BR>Job Code: OR2095<BR># of openings: 1<BR><BR><BR>Description<BR>ESSENTIAL FUNCTION: Along with performing regular maintenance duties throughout the facility, assist the Maintenance Supervisor in providing guidance and direction to Maintenance employees in regard to facilities maintenance, equipment repair and safety. <BR>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIILITES:Perform regular maintenance duties throughout the facility in cooperation with other members of the Maintenance Department, including, but not limited to; troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues;  work with outside contractors; report issues to Maintenance Supervisor<BR>Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the assigned areas<BR>In absence of Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Lead will:<BR>* Provide leadership<BR>* Solve problems analytically<BR>* Anticipate problems and successfully avoid problems<BR>* Plan ahead to avoid surprises<BR>* Make fact based decisions<BR>* Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization<BR>* Manage projects for schedules and budgets<BR>* Report issues to Operations Manager for resolution determination<BR>Assist Maintenance Supervisor in the selection and hiring process of all hourly personnel for Maintenance Department.<BR>Assist Maintenance Supervisor in the education of employees on accepted safety updates, procedures, operational changes and reinforce safety policies. Perform all operations according to prescribed safety principles.<BR>All Woods&rsquo; Lead personnel are expected to carry out the following responsibilities:<BR>* Have good working knowledge of all department-related paperwork and company documents;<BR>* In the absence of the supervisor, the lead person must have the ability and desire to work closely with production supervisors and other lead persons to ensure that production, quality and safety requirements are met;<BR>* Be responsible for the training, or designation of an appropriate trainer, for new employees;<BR>* Have the ability to work with representatives from Engineering, Research and Development, HR, Safety and various other persons, including outside contractors and vendors;<BR>* Have some responsibility for the scheduling of work in their area, especially during the absence of the supervisor for the area. Also, some responsibility should be assumed by the lead person to ensure that all hot work orders are completed in a timely manner, in the areas within their control. This is to include orders for repairs, production, special requests form engineering or development, and orders marked &ldquo;unit down.&rdquo;<BR>* Must be able to reorganize the work force, when needed, due to unscheduled absences, etc.<BR>* Set the example for all other members of the team to follow.
