The salary range for this position is $58,956 - $88,536 annually. This position is located on Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This position is responsible for direction, coordination, and managment of the activities for anesthesia support workers & staff that perform a wide range of duties. Serves as an expert resource for OHSU on anesthesia support related issues.Is responsible for support of all sites anesthesia can be delivered (exception of CEI) including staffing, policies and procedures, equipment, budget, and day to day management of flow.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Bachelor's Degree. ASATT certification as Certified Anesthesia Technician. Three (3) years Anesthesia Technician experience. Lead Technician experience. Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, surgical equipment, supplies, drugs, procedures, chemical, physical, and hematological test and analyses. Knowledge of invasive monitoring techniques and procedures, aseptic techniques, basic operating room policies and procedures. Knowledge of Autotransfusion regulations and processes which include procedures for handling of blood products. Skill in handling high stress situations, completing tertiary medical/surgical care, monitoring and preparing supplies for use in the OR. Knowledge of standard laboratory requirements and procedures. Knowledge of Federal and State requirements for laboratory testing. Knowledge of medical terminology related to anesthesia care and surgical procedures, hazards and precautions associated with body fluids, troubleshooting equipment, and hospital locations.Demonstrated effective written and verbal skills, proven problem-solving techniques, and organization skills. Good interpersonal skills, ability to teach the adult learner, and develop and maintain positive working relationships. Demonstrated expertise in assembly and operation of complex medical equipment; as well as, the ability to record and interpret laboratory data and hemodynamic readings. Preferred: Master degree in health management/business management. One-year of experience in management or supervisory capacity preferred.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Flexible work hours that may extend greater than 8 hours in a day or 40 hours in a week. This position will be supervisory to the evening, night and week-end staff, therefore, evenings, nights and week-end shifts will be common. Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs or department specific working conditions. Ability to complete tasks requiring push, pulling, bending, lifting, and walking.
