               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Manager, Student Debt Counseling and Financial Management Program<BR> <BR>Department Registrar & Financial Aid Office<BR> <BR>Location MAC 1120<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR>REVISED POSITION DESCRIPTION<BR>The Manager of the Student Debt Counseling and Financial Management Program will be responsible for establishing a new program at OHSU to deliver academic program-specific, specialized, debt management and financial literacy information for all OHSU students.<BR>The accrediting bodies for several educational programs require OHSU to provide effective financial aid counseling as well as provide a specific level of debt education to students in order to meet accreditation standards.<BR>This position will be responsible for establishing an institution-wide program to meet these accreditation responsibilities and will create an ongoing educational program in conjunction with the schools and the Provost?s Office to meet all debt management counseling goals and recommendations.<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Salary range $53,550 - $80,478<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> <BR>Key Responsibilities:<BR>* Develop and lead a new institution-wide program to ensure compliance with academic program specific accrediting body standards related to financial aid and debt management counseling. Independently research, create and deliver debt management information tailored to specific student groups.<BR>* Provide information related to managing educational debt (tuition/fees and other direct educational expenses) as well as provide a focus on the impact of non-educational debt on students? cumulative indebtedness.<BR>* Handle complex and delicate student situations that require extreme tact, a vast amount of knowledge about policy and regulation and the ability to analyze information quickly to come up with the best solution.<BR>* Develop and implement a specific, measureable, and meaningful student body survey that will assess student satisfaction with all of the services provided by the Financial Aid Office.<BR>* Meet with prospective students during the admissions process to provide them with financial aid and debt management information. Operate as the key liaison from the Financial Aid Office to the students and the schools during the admissions seasons and work with the schools to help attract top-tier students to OHSU.<BR>* Advise students not only on debt management issues, but also on any financial aid or enrollment reporting issue a student may encounter.<BR>* Administer federal, state, private and institutional student financial aid programs.<BR>* Participate in the implementation of new federal and state regulations and institutional policies needed to maintain compliance with changing regulations.
