That&rsquo;s where you come into the picture.<BR>The Materials Costing Analyst supports efforts to achieve costing vision of competitive, predictable and sustainable materials cost for Columbia Apparel and Accessories.<BR>Essential Functions<BR>* This position is responsible for providing detailed and accurate fabric and trim cost analysis, in line with company&rsquo;s financial goals.<BR>* Work closely with Materials Research team and Trim team during development stage, providing costing support to help them negotiate best possible prices.<BR>* Review carryover fabric and trim prices with Liaison Offices, making sure the latest cost factors have been considered. Collaborate with R&D team, understand, verify cost structure of new innovative materials and communicate back to product creation team timely. <BR>* Support developing processes and tools to enable design-to-cost capabilities (for example: product cost engineering) and cost predictability (for example: Market Commodity Trend Analysis) within apparel and accessory creation team. Provide detailed and accurate prototype cost analysis in terms of material/trim/packaging for both PD and<BR>* Sourcing.Collect and analyze supplier cost breakdown, build up market intelligence report, publish guidelines on various apparel /textiles costing elements to support cost estimation and negotiation.<BR>* Support Materials Research team and Trim team to finalize material/trim/packaging cost within the timeline required by appeal calendar. Provide support to the Dragon Project which is a joint effort through cross functional teams to effectively consolidate the materials and trims vendor base, reduce lead time, and negotiate cost.<BR>* Report and communicate insightful material/trim cost analysis to staff and management team on a quarterly and seasonally basis.<BR>Requirements<BR>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in textiles, apparel manufacturing, costing, and/or 5 years or more experience in textiles/apparel development, sourcing or related fields.<BR>This position requires accuracy and attention to detail with strong analytical assessments of costing information.  <BR>Possess knowledge of textiles, familiarity with textile construction methods and manufacturing.<BR>Possess the ability to be a creative problem solver, anticipate issues, identify opportunities, and develop a vision for continuous improvement in the textile field.<BR>Possess strong organizational skills to meet strict timelines on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. <BR>Be a team player with ability to communicate effectively and develop solid working relationships across multiple levels and organizational boundaries.<BR>Job conditions<BR>Job may require hours                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             </font></td>
