The Portland site manufactures complex machined parts and assemblies for all models of Boeing Commercial aircraft. The SCM team plays a critical role in supporting and transforming the production system by managing the flow of material, information and data throughout the value stream and actively engaging in lean manufacturing and other continuous improvement activities. The successful candidate will report to the Portland site SCM leader and will have relevant experience in supply chain management, materials management, purchasing, supplier management, logistics, inventory / warehouse management, production planning / control, program or project management, etc. The candidate will also have demonstrated leadership skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with and positively influence peers, direct reports and other organizations to achieve business results. Direct reports may be salaried or hourly employees, or a combination of both. The role requires working closely with manufacturing operations, quality, external transportation and other key support organizations to execute the production plan and ensure our customers needs are met.<BR><BR>Promotion of shift to shift collaboration and communication is critical to the success of this position and includes high leverage areas such as employee involvement teams,LevelPullProduction support, standard work, cross-training, team-based process improvements, and setting clear, challenging expectations.
