               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Materials Researcher - Yarns and Fibers<BR>Location: OR-Portland<BR>Job Number:_00065057<BR>As our Materials Researcher, of yarns & fibers in Advanced Materials Research (AMR), you&#39;ll carry out foundational research and development for materials which fuels and supports the overall development efforts for Knitted Footwear in the Knit Center of Excellence. You will collaborate with Senior Materials Researchers to develop Nike AMR&#39;s point of view for new and advanced initiative across our strategic initiatives. You will be assisting in development of new knitted products for a variety of applications. You would follow leads by product designers, developers and Sr. Researchers while integrating ideas through flat (weft) knitting technology, in a team environment. You will be involved in the overall process of product development from idea generation, product design, prototype development, physical testing through to commercialization. You&#39;ll work with Materials and Mechanical Lab to interpret results of testing of materials in development to insure that relevant materials meet all required standards. You&#39;ll also collaborate with the Lab Manager to establish test methods for materials research projects that fall outside the normal realm of lab procedure; using testing resources outside Nike lab when appropriate. You&#39;ll continually research and analyze new materials opportunities and technologies in the marketplace. You will provide on-line information and conduct presentations and educational seminars to developers, designers, and other interested groups.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Requirements for the position include:<BR>* Bachelors Degree in Textile Science, Engineering or Technology and a minimum of 5 years&#39; directly relevant work experience<BR>* Fibers, Yarns and/or Polymers experience or focus is a plus.<BR>* Requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; Familiarity with the state-of-the-art technologies in knitting, yarn manufacturing and finishing processes<BR>* Builds knowledge of the company, processes and customers<BR>* Ability to communicate effectively and work under tight timelines and with limited information<BR>* Ability to solve a range of straightforward problems and analyze possible solutions using standard procedures<BR>* Ability to work with a moderate level of guidance and direction and effectively elevate strategic concerns to senior management in a timely manner<BR>* Ability to make decisions within guidelines and policies that impact own priorities and allocation of time to meet deadlines<BR><BR>Job: Product Development & Engineering                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 </font></td>
