<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Mental Health Associate<BR>Location: Oregon-Portland<BR>Job Number:_07406<BR>Providence is calling an on-call Mental Health Associate for a rotating/variable shift position at Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR. <BR><BR>In this position, you will:<BR><BR>* Provide hospital level and focused patient care, support, and milieu management for patients with behavioral health conditions and illness. <BR>* Under the direction of an RN, observes and repo<BR>* Be sensitive to needs of these patients and alerts care team leaders of a change in status of the patients on the inpatient psychiatric unit. <BR>* Provide patient care under the direct supervision of the RN, with indirect supervision of mental health skills by an employed Mental Health Professional.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR><BR>Required qualifications for this position include:<BR>* The MHA must have a the minimum qualifications of a Bachelor''s degree in a behavioral sciences field; or a combination of at least three years relevant work, education, training or experience in an intensive psychiatric residential or outpatient setting or one year in an acute inpatient psychiatric facility.<BR>* Additionally, the MHA must have a current certification and Oregon State license to practice as a CNA2, or have completed the basic CNA and CNA2 program within one year of hire.<BR><BR>* AHA BLS Certification required prior to hire and re-certification every 2 years.<BR><BR><BR><BR><BR>Preferred qualifications for this position include:<BR><BR>* CNA 2 plus minimum of one year experience in an inpatient mental health setting. <BR>About Providence in Oregon<BR><BR>As the largest health care system and largest private employer in Oregon, Providence offers exceptional work environments and unparalleled career opportunities.<BR><BR>The Providence Experience begins each time our patients or their families have an encounter with a Providence team member and continues throughout their visit or stay.
