Salary: $14.04-$18.75/hourly; Location: Marquam hill<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Monitor Technician is part of the health care team and utilizes their knowledge and expertise to support the telemetry nursing unit operations and in areas as designated throughout OHSU. The Monitor Technician assists the professional nursing staff through constant observation of the telemetry monitoring system. The Monitor Technician will assess, document and immediately notify the nursing staff of any changes in the patients rate/rhythm pattern. Acts as unit receptionist and provides health unit coordinator support and clerical skills as assigned. Provides telemetry needs for the Adult and Pediatric patients throughout OHSU.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: HS diploma or equivalent; AND 100% pass rate on OHSU arrhythmia recognition course and exam upon hire; AND Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills; Knowledge of medical terminology. Preferred: Current allied health science student with completion of a medical-surgical clinical rotation. One (1) year experience as Telemetry Tech in an acute care facility. EMT certification or current unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Constant exposure to usual hospital environmental conditions.
