Requires successfully passing of both criminal history and driving record reviews to meet OHSU standards.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> In support of the OHSU Logistics mission, this position is responsible to provide transportation and delivery services including: 1) Move/Event Crew: Office and Lab moves, event rental services, freight delivery, etc.; 2) Surplus Operations: removal of OHSU surplus property; 3) Modular Furniture Services: provides move and minor installation support for the installation and removal of modular office furniture for campus users; warehousing of excess furniture; 4) Courier Operations: timely and efficient transport of USPS and inter-company mail, specimens, reports, checks, etc. This position requires the safe operation of OHSU supplied motor vehicles and other industry related equipment to provide these services. This position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to both internal and external customers of the OHSU community.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: High School or GED equivalent. At least 2 years of professional driving experience using vehicles such as sedans, vans, and box trucks AND 1 year of industry related experience. General Computer usage and beginning skills using MS Office. Basic mathematical skills. Current Driver's license and driving record that meets OHSU's driving requirements. Must be able to speak, read and write English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.Must have the ability to multi-task, work efficiently without direct supervision, and posses effective time management skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must possess excellent problem solving ability, as well as demonstrating effective conflict resolution skills. Must have the ability to use tact and diplomacy to maintain effective working relationships. Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Requires the ability to lift up to 65 lbs. without the use of a mechanical device, occasionally lift and move equipment weighing in excess of 100 lbs. with assistance.
