<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">MRI Technologist<BR> <BR>Department Magnetic Resonance Imaging<BR> <BR>Location OHS 10C47<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Schedule: Monday-Friday, Evenings: Variable Hours; Salary: $29.51 - $39.93/hourly; Location: Marquam hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This position functions in the role of a MRI Technologist in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging. The MRI Technologist performs MRI examinations following protocols under the direct or indirect supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, Lead Technologist, Radiologists, Residents, or Clinical Physicians. The MRI Technologist promotes OHSUs mission statement by delivering high quality, cost effective, family-oriented service. This position helps to create a collaborative environment by integrating education, research and clinical leadership. MRI Technologists work with infant, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Must be ARRT (R) certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists, or ARMRIT certified by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists; Must be ARRT (MR) certified within the first year of hire if eligible. Must be licensed by OBMI. One (1) year of dedicated MRI technologist experience, but will consider student graduates from approved training program. Requires BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Successful applicant will have: knowledge in the understanding of cross-sectional anatomy; the ability to make independent decisions regarding patient care and the completeness and appropriateness of exams ordered; Must have general computer skills and experience. Preferred: Formal training program with completed range of documented or demonstrated technical competencies that include at least six (6) months of full-time clinical experience in MRI. Experience working in a Level I / II Trauma Center, or equivalent experience.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Full-time, with overtime as required. This position works in a busy environment with frequent interruptions, multiple demands and continuous interaction with patients and other medical professionals. It requires being exposed to noise, chemical solutions, and human tissue/fluids. Ability to speak clearly, demonstrate patience and understanding of patients needs. Must be able to deal with competing needs and priorities of patients and internal customers. Use of computers, copiers, phones, and fax machine. Must have ability to stand, lift, and move patients.
