<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Nurse Manager/NSICU<BR> <BR>Department Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit<BR> <BR>Location OHS 14B34<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Neuro ICU, UHS 7C<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Schedule: Monday - Friday, variable days; Salary Range: $81,400 - $130,000 annually; Location: Marquam Hill campus.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> Manage and supervise functions of the OHSU Hospital Unit on a 24 hour basis; ensure effective delivery of clinical patient care and compliance with administrative and clinical policies and procedures. Partners with medical providers and other disciplines to assure quality patient/family centered care.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Current, unencumbered Oregon Nursing License. Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Nursing. Master's Degree earned, or in progress within one year of hire date, preferably in Nursing or related healthcare field. BLS Certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Five (5) years previous relevant clinical nursing experience required. Strong communication skills, teamwork (demonstrated ability to build team and integrate existing teams), and experience in complex organization environments. Ability to effectively manage multiple conflicting priorities. Ability to work as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting, with persons at all levels of the organization, and with patients or other members of the public. Previous experience required in program or project leadership. Ability to utilize and support an Electronic integrated Medical Record.Familiarity with word processing, computational spreadsheet (e.g., Excel), and presentation software. Preferred: Five (5) years previous management experience. Eligible for faculty appointment with the School of Nursing. Certification in Clinical or Administrative Specialty.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Requires prioritization of multiple projects, activities, and assignments. Frequent interruptions in an environment of frequent change and fluctuations. May be exposed to excessive auditory and visual stimulation. For inpatient units: accepts 24/7 accountability and responsibility to include possibility of stepping into patient care or clerical role, as needed. For outpatient or special service-type units: accountability and responsibility for overall program during hours of operation and overall program coordination, including stepping into a clinical or clerical role as needed. May be required to attend out of town conferences according to hospital travel and reimbursement policies. May be exposed to body fluids, tissue, possible radiation exposure, and infectious processes. Subject to computer work for several hours, as needed. Able to utilize all patient care equipment and office equipment within work area. Exercise the ability to implement a flexible work schedule to meet the unit needs and to create a work-life balance.
