The salary range is $15.95 - $22.23/hour; Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Obstetrics Technician assists in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient by performing delegated duties as a ?scrubbed? member of the operating team providing assistance to the surgeon within the sterile field. The technician assists with the cleaning and maintenance of equipment, supplies and instrumentation in accordance with the established procedures and standards. As a member of the Labor & Delivery Surgery staff, the Obstetrical Technician embraces the unit?s mission and vision and incorporates the unit?s values into daily work activities. Obstetrical Technologist?s perform the requirements for staff members as outlined in Compliance Roles and Responsibilities in OHSU Hospitals and Clinics.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Completion of a Accredited Surgical Technician course with certification within three (3) months of hire OR a minimum of one (1) year of current experience as a surgical technician in a multi specialty operation room. Ability to prioritize work in a fast paced setting. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. Current experience in a surgical setting preferred.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Constant exposure to usual hospital and surgical environmental conditions including exposure to blood and body fluids for which staff is provided education and protective equipment to minimize risk. Attire: Requires wearing of hospital provided and laundered surgical attire including a facemask for the work period.
