THIS IS NOT AN OHSU POSITION. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY HERE ONLINE.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The essential duties of this psoition are: ? Hire, develop, motivate, and coach a department of individuals dedicated to providing excellent customer service to all stakeholders. ? Achieve standard physician billing office benchmark metrics or create action plan(s) that demonstrate a path to achieve benchmarks. ? Oversee supervisors with issues that arise with personnel, patient accounts and organizational direction. ? Work collaboratively to resolve operational work flows, billing processes, individual patient accounts and overall all accounts receivable problems. ? Monitor department activities and provide operational Supervisors with direction to resolve issues. ? Interface with customers and establish relationships that promote the timely and efficient resolution of transactions. ? Review procedures and recommend changes to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary delays. Ensure that staff has adequate information and training to perform assigned tasks. ? Present complex information effectively to a range of audiences (20 to 35 people) ? Achieve Epic Resolute Certification within first year of employment. ? Be willing to travel to other office sites, such as OHSU clinics and hospitals, as necessary to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent work experience in a physician billing/business office of at least four (4) years is strongly preferred. Must be able to demonstrate history of progressive responsibility and leadership skills. ? Proven experience creating, analyzing and explaining complex reports. Proven ability to use reporting software like Crystal Reports? Knowledge of sound accounting procedures, experience with physician business office operations in a health care environment, including knowledge of HIPAA regulations, CPT and ICD-9 codes and insurance claim processing, is required. ? Extensive analytical skills and the ability to clearly communicate decisions, procedures and processes to a diverse group of people. ? A positive attitude; comfortable with change; and the ability to find root cause issues and implement corrective solutions.? Excellent communication skills, written, verbal, and listening, as well as demonstrated business writing skills, are required. ? Proficiency with standard office equipment and software such as computers, 10-key, multi-line telephone is necessary. Proficiency in Power Point a plus. ? Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel?
