               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Veterans encouraged to apply.<BR><BR>• Hancock Field Station Seasonal Position – scheduled to work February – November<BR>• Pacific Marine Science School & Cascade Science School Seasonal Position – scheduled to work March - November<BR>• Pacific Marine Science School & Cascade Science School Special Project Position – scheduled February - June<BR>Multiple positions available.<BR><BR>The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry is seeking multiple Outdoor Science Instructors who will be responsible for teaching concept-based outdoor science education in the field.  This position requires living on-site during all programming. In the spring and fall this will be at one of OMSI’s 3 outdoor science schools: Hancock Field Station, Pacific Marine Science School, or Santiam Science School. During the summer, instructors travel with students across the Pacific Northwest, teaching week-long residential science camps. Work schedule depends on the site and programming needs.<BR><BR>Ideal candidates want to teach youth in an outdoor setting and want to become better educators.  Instructors teach spring and fall outdoor school, and science camps in the summer, which may include backpacking, rafting or traveling programs. Instructors are responsible for the planning and preparation of their classes.  Because Instructors live and work in a tight community, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required. Excellent communication and decision making skills, the ability to be creative within a given framework, and a passion for environmental education are a must for success.  <BR><BR>Wilderness First Responder, Lifeguard, and Class B commercial driver’s license are required certifications.  Opportunities for these trainings are provided.
