Work with actuaries to determine appropriate investment strategies for the insurance product lines to ensure long term financial strength for the company.<BR>Responsibilities:<BR><BR>Oversee the activities of the senior portfolio managers and bond trader to ensure appropriate diversification and duration of the insurance company fixed income portfolios. Work with actuaries to determine the most appropriate duration targets for each product line. <BR> <BR>Work with Corporate Financial Service, StanCorp Mortgage Investors and portfolio managers to ensure timely reporting to Corporate Financial Services for insurance company bond portfolios, annual rating agency reports, monthly portfolio stratification, monthly product line allocations of bond and mortgage acquisitions. Work with internal and external auditors to provide information required and maintain and update key controls.<BR><BR>Work on special projects that support corporate strategies. <BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Education: Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in finance, economics, accounting or similar field required.<BR><BR>Experience: More than 10 years progressively responsible experience in the management of investment portfolios and professional staff.<BR><BR>Professional certification required: Chartered Financial Analyst designation is required.<BR><BR>Standard Insurance Company, The Standard Life Insurance Company of New York, Standard Retirement Services, Inc., StanCorp Equities, Inc. and StanCorp Investment Advisers, Inc., marketed as The Standard, are Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employers.
