<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Pancreatic/General Surgery Patient Coordinator<BR> <BR>Department Digestive Health Center<BR> <BR>Location MAC 3180<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> Digestive Health Center, CHH 6th Floor<BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 0.8 FTE; Schedule: Monday thru Friday days; Location: Center for Health & Healing, South Waterfront.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The Nurse Coordinator is a member of a multi-disciplinary team with primary responsibility for direct and indirect professional nursing care of Medicine and Surgical patients that have Hepatobiliary Diseases. S/he will provide clinical support services to physicians in the General Surgery Division as well as the Multidisciplinary Hepatobiliary Program within the Knight Institute. Across all programs, s/he will be responsible for development and delivery of patient education, assessing patient and family needs, developing nursing care plans, implementing and evaluating the care delivered. The Nurse Coordinator is considered a specialist with in-depth knowledge of gastrointestinal disease. The Nurse Coordinator is expected to practice in accordance with professional standards, core values, and with a commitment to service excellence.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Current unencumbered Oregon RN license; BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. EMR experience; Ability to function in a multidisciplinary practice environment and ability to function as a member of this team. Preferred: Bachelor?s degree; Three (3) years experience in Medical/Surgical nursing. Ambulatory nursing experience; Experience and knowledge of Hepatobiliary disease management. Knowledge of GI/Liver disease surgical and medicine. EPIC knowledge.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Orientation 2-6 months. Must be flexible with work schedule M-F. Shifts vary must be able to work 12 hour shifts if necessary; Must be able to ride Aerial Tram. Ability to physically assist 250 lb. or larger patient. Ability to stand for long hours during clinical days. Fast paced high volume clinic; Heavy computer usage; High telephone call volume practice.
