<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">PAS Specialist<BR> <BR>Department Center for Women's Health<BR> <BR>Location SJH 2202<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is a relief position with variable hours M-F; Salary range: $14.57 - $19.64/hour; Location: Marquam Hill<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The function of the Relief PAS Specialist position within the Center for Women's Health will be to act as an internal float and be able to cross-cover all locations within the CWH. The PAS Specialist provides a multitude of services for our Patients that are seen in the CWH. The PAS Specialist completes all aspects of scheduling patients in EPIC cadence. They also receive patients when they enter the CWH. These tasks include checking the patient in, assisting with questions, collecting cash, and when needed, communicating with the Clinical Staff/Providers. The PAS Specialist supports the Clinical and Departmental teams by providing excellent customer service. This is reflected through prompt and professional communication skills, face-to-face customer contact, and problem solving skills. This position is also responsible to gather and verifying patient information including demographics, insurance coverage, and current financial status.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> One Year work experience in a medical office setting. Six (6) months experience working in a Women's Health Clinic. One (1) year experience in a customer Service related field, which includes phone work. Six (6) months experience working in a high volume clinic (60 providers or more). Six (6) months experience working in a high telephone call volume with multiple Medical Specialties. Demonstrates excellent communication, telephone, customer service, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills; strong team building skills with staff, patients, health plans, providers, management; including communication and conflict resolution; patient advocacy skills, basic computer keyboarding skills including typing 45 wpm, self reliant and independent work habits that succeed in problem-solving and decision making; working knowledge of ICD9 and CPT coding; handle multiple complex transactions, and work in a team environment; demonstrated professional voice tone. The CWH has multiple Specialties working in the Center. It is extremely important that this applicant has a basic understanding of women's health. Preferred: A 4- year College Degree. Two (2) years work experience in a medical office setting. One (1) year experience working in a Women's Health Clinic. One (1) year experience in a customer Service related field, which includes phone work. Preferable one (1) year experience as PAS Resource Specialist within OHSU in a high volume clinic (60 Providers or more)or hospital area with high telephone call volume; proficient in university network computer applications using Windows and Microsoft office systems, EPIC, A2K, LCR, OE, SMS, Decrad scheduling, insurance authorization, and cash handling experience.
