               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">PAS Specialist<BR> <BR>Department OHSU Family Medicine at South Waterfront<BR> <BR>Location EJH 102<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position working variable hours 6:30am - 8:30pm Mon-Fri, Rotate Saturday 8:30am - 1:30pm. The salary range for this position is $14.57 - $19.64/hour. This position is located at the Center for Health & Healing, South Waterfront.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> To provide excellent clinical care trhough professional response to patient needs. The PAS Specialist is responsible for all reception duties, including check in, check out, telephones and providing a high level of administrative support to both providers and patients. This will include gathering appropriate and correct patient demographics, financial screening, worker compensation status, and non-covered service status. Will schedule appointments including but not limited to new patient, ancillaries, procedure services, surgery services and follow-up appointments. Gathers and records information about patients, provides specific customer services which include screening for financial eligibility, confirming health insurance coverage and individual's obligations. Maintains current information on all managed care insurance plans and is up to date with all insurance plan changes. Solid administrative skills, including letter/phone correspondence, organizational skills, project maintenance, and other general office tasks.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Six (6) months of work experience in a medical office setting, including high volume direct patientcontact OR one (1) year customer service experience. Experience with face to face customer interactions, as well as phone experience. Data entry, scheduling, phone skills, computer skills (keyboarding including 30-45 wpm), customer service skills. Preferred: AA, BS or BA in business or healthcare. One (1) year experience in a medical office setting, including high-volume patient contact, scheduling appointments in EPIC. One (1) year scheduling experience and/or one (1) year phone experience.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Exposure to ill patients - flu,colds, virus. Must be able to sit for long periods, move about the clinic as necessary, type/computer work for long periods, use of telephone for extended periods.
