FTE: 0.5; Schedule: Moonday - Friday with varied hours; Salary range: $14.57 - $19.64/hour; Location: Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This is a flex position expected to positively promote the mission of OHSU, DCH, and CDRC by providing administrative support and patient access services for a variety of pediatrice outpatient practices. The position provides excellent customer service through prompt and professional communication skills, face-to-face customer contact skills, computer and technical skills, and problem solving skills.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Six (6) months of work experience in a medical office setting, including high volume direct patient contact OR one (1) year of work experience in a medical office setting, including high-volume direct patient contact, scheduling of appointments and obtaining managed care authorizations. Proficient in OHSU network computer applications including Microsoft Office, Epic (Candence, EARL). Basic computer keyboarding skills including typing of 30-45 wpm. Working knowledge of medical terminology. Strong relationship building skills with patients, health plans, providers, staff, management. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Exceptional customer service skills both in-person and on the phone. Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to resolve conflicts and to problem-solve between parties. Strong organization skills and ability to multi-task. Sensitivity to patient needs. Ability to manage competing priorities. Ability to meet deadlines and urgent patient and system needs. Must be flexible to cover hours of clinic operation. Proven record of consistant, reliable, and regular attendance, punctuality, and dependability. Demonstrated evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated evidence of critical thinking skills, ability to manage competing priorities, and ability to work independently. Ability to meet deadlines and urgent patient and system needs. Willingness to serve as a positive and professional role model. Must successful complete the required initial training and core competency assessment before or during the trial service period. Must complete all required update modules. Must maintain core competencies, and demonstrate continuous application of these skills throughout the period of employment. Preferred: Prior experience with managed care processes. Bilingual in Spanish/English.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Ability to be flexible to cover hours of operation between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm. Ability to tolerate a noisy, high volume environment in DCH clinics. Must comply with DCH personal appearance policies.
