               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">PAS Specialist - Relief<BR> <BR>Department Internal Medicine<BR> <BR>Location SJH 3370<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is a Relief/on call position (0.003 FTE) working a varied schedule between 7:30 am to 7:30 pm Monday - Friday. There is no guarantee of hours. The salary range for this position si $14.57 - $19.64/hour. This position is located at Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> To provide excellent clinical care through professional response to patient needs. The PAS Specialist is responsible for all reception duties including check in, check out, telephones and providing a high level of administrative support to both providers and patients. This will include gathering appropriate and correct patient demographics, financial screening, worker compensation status, and non-covered service status. Will schedule appointments including but not limited to new patient, ancillaries, procedure services, surgery services and follow-up appointments. Gathers and records information about patients, provides specific customer services which include screening for financial eligibility, confirming health insurance coverage and individual's obligations. Maintains current information on all managed care insurance plans and is up to date with all insurance plan changes. Solid understanding of ICD9/CPT coding requirements and issues. Responsible for keeping the schedule flowing smoothly and on time.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Six months of experience in a medical office setting including high-volume patient contact, scheduling appointments or one (1) year experience in a Medical office setting. Experience with medical billing and coding. Data entry, scheduling, 10 key, collections, computer skills, customer service skills. Preferred: AA in business / healthcare preferred. Two (2) or more years of experience in a Medical office setting. Previous OHSU and EPIC experience preferred.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Exposure to ill patients - flu,colds, virus. Must be able to sit for long periods, move about the clinic as necessary, type/computer work for long periods, use of telephone for extended periods.
