<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Payment Posting Specialist<BR>Location: Portland, OR<BR>The Payment Posting Specialist is responsible for applying government, commercial, and guarantor payments to member and non-member accounts. They will perform a variety of adjustments to accounts according to the Kaiser Permanente NW Payment Posting Policy.<BR>Essential Functions:<BR>- Timely post payments from various payers (i.e., government, workers compensation, commercial, etc.), and member and non-member payments.<BR>- Perform contractual/debit adjustments to accounts.<BR>- Perform cash transfer within multiple systems.<BR>- Research unidentified payments by contacting various Kaiser departments, commercial payers, members, or non-members, to resolve account discrepancies.<BR>- Respond to inquiries from other Kaiser departments regarding account discrepancy resolution.<BR>- Clerical support functions to include scanning, faxing, and filing.<BR>- Update policies and procedures as needed.<BR>Qualifications:<BR>Basic Qualifications:<BR>- One (1) year of accounts receivable or related healthcare billing experience.<BR>- At Kaiser Permanente or other health care organization experience.<BR>- Previous experience in accounting, preferably AR payment posting, preferred.<BR>- Two (2) year of Kaiser Permanente or other health care organization experience, preferred.<BR>- High school diploma or GED equivalent.<BR>- Demonstrate 10-key by touch.<BR>- Demonstrate Data Entry Alphanumeric.<BR>- Demonstrate computer literacy.<BR>- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<BR>- Detail oriented with organizational skills which involve the ability to prioritize and manage workflow with minimal supervision.<BR>- Working knowledge of Kaiser Permanente organizational policies and procedures relating to all aspects of cash handling and member accounts, preferred.<BR>- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and standard billing codes, preferred.<BR>- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, preferred.<BR>- Knowledgeable in use of personal computer spreadsheets, i.e., MS Excel, MS Word, preferred.<BR><BR>Salary Range:<BR>$18.99 - $24.60 </font></td>
