(PCC) which is a Fortune 500 company located in Portland, OR.  We have a full-timePayroll Specialistopportunity available in SE Portland.<BR>PURPOSE:<BR>To assist in Accounting, General Ledger and Daily time keeping activities, including the data entry function. To support division payroll processing.<BR>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: <BR>* Prepare, process and own all aspects of payroll utilizing ADP and various other service providers.<BR>* Serves as liaison to employees with third party vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.<BR>* Audits employee pay records and reconciles totals by department, location, , etc.<BR>* Interprets pay policies (e.g. vacation, LOA, disability, workers’ compensation, government regulations, garnishments, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.<BR>* Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; stays current with changes in the law.<BR>* Assists with audits of internal records, workers’ compensation, tax filings and related documentation.<BR>* Documents payroll processes and procedures.<BR>* Calculate special payments including bonuses, moving expense reimbursements and/or manual out of cycle payments.<BR>* Investigate, analyze and resolve problems, answer questions, explain payroll policies and procedures to employees and distribute payroll-related forms as requested; set up, change, or stop direct deposits as authorized.<BR>* Complete monthly reconciliation of all payroll related accounts.<BR>* Prepare payroll related accruals including bonus accrual and annual sales “club” accrual.<BR>* Administer Paid Time Off, prepare related reports, and calculate monthly accrual<BR>* Provide assistance and back up for all audits, including annual 401(k) audit.<BR>* Assist Manufacturing Administrators with problem solving and employee relation issues.<BR>Required Experience<BR><BR>QUALIFICATIONS: <BR>* Associate degree in a business-related curriculum or equivalent experience and training.<BR>* At least five (5) years experience processing payroll and basic knowledge of tax and accounting rules, attendance and pay policies, as well as state and federal wage/hour laws, is preferred.<BR>* Previous experience with ADP payroll systems – Enterprise V5, including data entry is strongly preferred;<BR>* Previous experience with implementing new systems and/or converting off-site locations to our current Payroll/HR systems preferred;<BR>* Previous supervisory experience preferred.<BR>* Ability to maintain confidential information.<BR>* Good analytic and organizational skills; ability to attend to detail.<BR>* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of individuals.<BR>Please describe prior experiences with ADP payroll systems on your resume application. <BR>Job Location<BR>Portland, OR, </font></td>
