<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Pediatric NSQIP (PNSQIP) Clinical Reviewer<BR> <BR>Department Quality Management<BR> <BR>Location MBS 1012<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> This is full-time (1.0 FTE) position working M - F 8:00am to 5:00pm. The salary range for this position is $54,451 - $74,065 annually. This position is located on Marquam Hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The PNSQIP Clinical Reviewer is responsible for capturing, entering, and submitting physiologic and outcome variables of pediatric surgical cases submitted to the American College of Surgery National Surgical Quality Improvement Program, Pediatric Version. The person in this position works closely with the Pediatric Surgical Champion, Quality Management and Doernbecher Children's Hospital Administration to interpret the data and identify performance improvement opportunities in the preoperative, perioperative and postoperative management of patients to enhance safe, effective, timely, efficient, equitable, patient centered care. In addition to communication with the Physician Champion for NSQIP, the Clinical reviewer will have accountability within both Quality Management and the DCH Integrated Pediatric Quality Structure.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: A Bachelor Degree with previous experience in healthcare systems OR an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. A minimum of 1 year experience must be in hospital surgery or in the care of pediatric surgical patients, surgery clinic, or clinical research. Successful candidates will be proficient in computer skills including the use of MS Office products, basic statistical skills, and the internet. Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience in clinical chart review and abstraction/auditing. Experience working with databases and spreadsheets. Knowledge and experience in facilitative leadership. Successful completion of the ACS PNSQIP SCR Training certification program (determined by employer). Preferred: Registered Nurse Bachelor's Degree (BSN), perioperative experience and Pediatric Experience. Access and Excel proficiency, oral and written formal presentation experience. Knowledge and experience in facilitative leadership.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Extensive computer use (greater than 6 hours per day). Periodic walking between buildings and to remote locations. Ability to travel to national meetings and conferences. Ability to focus on a single project for extended periods of time. Ability to discern discrete data elements and populate to a computer driven database. Ability to lift, push, carry at a minimum 10 pounds. Prolonged sitting with occasional reaching, bending.
