               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Perioperative Nurse Consultant (OnCall)<BR>Location: Portland, OR<BR>The Peri-Operative Nurse Consultant is accountable to the Nursing Director for coordinating & integrating educational, consultative, evidence-based practice, & research functions into ongoing nursing practice.<BR>Essential Functions:<BR>- Improves clinical practice through implementation of standards, evidence-based practice, systems assessment, consultation<BR>- Assures that employees providing service have the knowledge & skills required to provide age & culturally appropriate care to patients & families through education, training, & experience.<BR>- Provides the leadership in strategic planning to achieve departmental & clinical specialty goals & objectives. Collaborates w/ nurse manager & healthcare team to ensure the regulatory compliance standards are met<BR>- Monitors & evaluates the quality & effectiveness of care delivered to members in the acute care setting<BR>- Performs other duties as requested<BR>- Autonomy of practice is maintained through self-evaluation, continuing education, peer reviewing, & the pursuit of scholarly activities<BR>Qualifications:<BR>Basic Qualifications:<BR>- 1 year previous experience leading a Surgical Services Education Team<BR>- BSN or BA/BS in related field<BR>- Current license of Registered Nurse in Oregon<BR>- Knowledge of current regulations/standards of practice<BR>- Customer-focused service skills<BR>- Group process skills<BR>- Project management experience<BR>- Principle of adult learning<BR>- Excellent verbal and written communication<BR>- Research methodology<BR>Preferred Qualifications:<BR>- 1 year management experience<BR>- 5 years education experience<BR>- 5 years clinical experience in specialty<BR>- Masters in Nursing or Education<BR>- Clinical Nurse Specialist<BR>- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills<BR><BR>Salary Range: $38.22 - $68.70                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     </font></td>
