               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Pharmacist<BR> <BR>Department Investigational Pharmacy<BR> <BR>Location HRC 9D40<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> 1.0 FTE; Schedule: Usually M-F 8:00AM-5:00 PM (may include work on Sat & Sun); Salary: $45.66 - $62.05/hr; Location: Center for Health & Healing, South Waterfront.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This purpose of this position is to provide the services of a licensed pharmacist responsible for the safe and proper distribution to and use of medications by patients in the Research Pharmacy Service, Center for Hematologic Malignancies, and/or Deornbecher Infusion Service. This position is to coordinate all departmental activities related to the provision of investigational drugs to inpatients and outpatients. In addition, care in our outpatient oncology centers may be a part of the job assignment. Patients may range in age from neonates, infants <1 year old, children and adolescents ages 1-18, adults ages 19-65, and the elderly age >65. This position is to function at higher decision making levels regarding drug therapy, proactively affecting drug use by making recommendations at the time prescribing decisions are being made or, in some cases, making independent decisions about drug therapy in cooperation with other health team members.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: B.S. in Pharmacy of Pharm.D. Licensure in the State of Oregon. Related knowledge and abilities include: Oncology related drug therapy in patients. (Dosage, indications, side effects, etc. of chemotherapy and oncology related adjunctive medications). Contemporary medication use systems (interpret prescribers orders, prepare and dispense medications and sterile products, etc.). Interpersonal communication, formal and informal communication, including presentations. Project management concepts. Systematic problem solving. Computer skills including use of word processing, spreadsheet, and databases. Patient interviewing and teaching. Problem solving. Age-related modification of drug therapy. Disease-related modification of drug therapy. Preferred: Practice Residency or Specialist Certification (BCPS, BCOPS, etc). PGY-2 Specialty Residency. BLS/ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. Vaccination certification. Experience in Oncology pharmacy practice, either inpatient or outpatient. Inpatient and / or outpatient hospital pharmacy practice. Three (3) years of health system experience. Specialist Certifications (BCPS, BCOPS, etc). State of Oregon Pharmacy Preceptor licensure.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> The incumbent will spend a significant amount of time at a computer terminal. Will work with investigational medications and an environment where chemotherapeutic agents and hazardous substances are prepared.
