               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Pharmacy Technician (Discharge)<BR> <BR>Department Outpatient Pharmacy<BR> <BR>Location HRC 9D40<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> FTE: 1.0; Schedule: All days, variable shifts; Salary range: $14.92 - $20.10/hour; Location: Marquam Hill campus.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The purpose of this position is to provide technical support services to licensed pharmacists at the Outpatient Pharmacies, who are responsible for the safe and proper distribution of medications to a diverse patient population. The pharmacy technician will also assist in inventory management, third party plan processing and providing excellent customer service.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: State of Oregon Pharmacy CPhT Licensure. National Certification. Data processing and computer keyboarding skills. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Extensive knowledge of insurance billing processes, including all private and public plans (i.e. Medicare Part -B, Medicaid). Knowledge base of insurance reimbursement. Knowledge of managed care environment and prior authorization guidelines. Knowledge of MS Outlook, Excel, Word. Sucessfully completes initial and continued competencies as required for maintenance of standard of practice, legal regulatory compliance and OHSU policies. Preferred: Formal pharmacy technician training program. One (1) year community or outpatient pharmacy experience. Medical and scientific nomenclature. Ability to utilize pharmacy technology.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> The Pharmacy Technician will experience competing demands on their time from clinic staff and/or patients and will need to effectively multi-task. Must be able to perform well within a team environment and work in a collaborative and cooperative manner. Must be able to deliver a consistantly high level of customer service. Ability to stand/walk for 6-8 continous hours per day. Additionally, this candidate will need to function for long periods of time using a computer terminal.
