               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Physical Therapist - Flex<BR> <BR>Department Rehabilitation Services<BR> <BR>Location OHS 7B30<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> Flex position; Days as needed, 2 weekends a month; Salary Range: $28.13 - $38.14/hr; Location: Marquam hill.<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> The purpose of this job/position is to function as a member of the patient care team by providing Physical Therapy services to the pediatric development and rehabilitation patient/client population. The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates and recommends intervention with regard to: musculoskeletal, neuromotor, developmental and functional status. This candidate will have competency and experience with assessment and intervention activities for pediatric populations including, but not limited to, prematurity, congenital brain anomolies, childhood oncologic processes, congenital cardiac anomolies, traumatic injuries, orthopedic anomolies and injuries, etc. In Doernbecher Childrens Hospital (DCH) the physical therapist (PT) role is to provide evaluative, diagnostic and treatment services to the pediatric population. The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates each pediatric patient referred, establishes treatment goals and objectives, develops and implements the plan of care, and assists in the process of discharge planning, post-hospital placement and equipment needs. The Physical Therapist (PT) will provide appropriate interventions such as exercise, gait training, patient & family education, hydrotherapy, and various other physical modalities to help pediatric patients improve strength, endurance, mobility, and flexibility and to help decrease pain. Physical Therapists are expected to supervise students, interns, post-graduate fellows, and Physical Therapy Assistants, and to assist with other clinical educational and research activities conducted by the department, division, CDRC, DCH and/or OHSU hospital.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Required: Entry level clinical degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program. Current State of Oregon Physical Therapy License or be able to obtain an Oregon Physical Therapy License or temporary permit. At time of appointment, must have at least a temporary permit.Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association. Physical therapy experience with a pediatric population. Competency and experience with assessment and intervention activities to evaluate and treat children with prematurity, congenital brain anomolies, congenital heart anomolies, pediatric cancers, traumatic injuries and other pediatric populations with complex medical and developmental needs. Preferred: Pediatric Acute care experience. Academic hospital experience (peds or adult). Child Passenger Safety Technician.<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> Ability to lift 80 lbs., to repeatedly carry equipment weighing more than 5 lbs. and to walk extensively on hard and soft surfaces.
