<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Polysomnography Tech<BR>Location: Clackamas, OR<BR>Perform sleep studies, monitoring patients during all stages of sleep; trial therapeutic interventions and evaluate their effectiveness with all studies conducted at KPs Sleep Center.<BR>Essential Functions:<BR>- Measure and observe sleep and EEG dysfunctions by utilizing various monitors simultaneously in a safe and effective manner. This requires use of computerized sleep lab system.<BR>- Utilizing protocols developed by Sleep Medical Directors and PSGTs, provide therapeutic interventions for observed sleep dysfunction, measure and evaluate the results of interventions and make necessary adjustments resulting in a prescription for durable medical equipment.<BR>- Take a detailed sleep history from the patient and screen patients for appropriateness of testing.<BR>- Participate in outpatient monthly sleep study reviews.<BR>- Educate patients to testing and therapeutic procedures.<BR>- Maintain an effective rapport with patient to facilitate patient compliance with procedures.<BR>- Provide appropriate discharge instructions.<BR>- Perform safe and correct operation of equipment.<BR>- Provide required equipment maintenance.<BR>- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge and skill in interfacing computer-based information system and patient monitoring systems.<BR>- Maintain necessary quality and quantity control programs.<BR>- Utilize a department specific quality assurance program in collaboration with the medical director and supervisor.<BR>- Periodically review procedures and revise to reflect hanges in practice and standards.<BR>- Process all data obtained from sleep studies and analyze data.<BR>- Prepare standardized report for physician review.<BR>- Monitor patients for all life-threatening events.<BR>- Recognize and obtain medical assistance as required.<BR>- Record and report all unusual occurrences.<BR>- Maintain patient records and confidentiality per standard procedure.<BR>- Perform other duties as requested.<BR>Qualifications:<BR>Basic Qualifications:<BR>- Two (2) years of experience in a polysomnography lab.<BR>- Two (2) years of experience with diagnostic monitoring.<BR>- Two (2) years of experience with computer-based diagnostic programs, preferred.<BR>- Two (2) years of clinical patient experience, preferred.<BR>- A.S. degree in health sciences, preferred.<BR>- Polysomnography training.<BR>- Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) and Oregon Licensed Polysomnographic Technologist (LPSGT) OR Oregon Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (LRCP).<BR>- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers at hire.<BR>- Thorough knowledge of polysomnography.<BR>- Comprehensive knowledge of computer applications for diagnostic testing.<BR>- Computer operations.<BR>- Operation of all monitoring systems utilized in sleep lab.<BR>- Effective communication skills.<BR>- Operation of medical gas systems.<BR>- Advanced knowledge of cardiopulmonary physiology related to respiratory and sleep is preferred.<BR><BR>Salary Range:<BR>$24.10 - $29.45 </font></td>
