<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Portland Freight Broker<BR>Location: United States-Oregon-Portland<BR>Other Locations:<BR>The Experienced Freight Broker is responsible for building customer relationships and identifying their shipping needs.<BR>* Build customer relationships and identifies their shipping needs<BR>* Develop new customers and business through the use of sales leads<BR>* Present customers with cost effective solutions to meet their service requirements<BR>* Qualify and actively prospect for new customers<BR>* Establish and maintain carrier relationships to ensure success in meeting customer's shipping needs<BR>* Coordinate movements of freight through our extensive carrier network<BR>* Shift responsibilities between operational and sales demands<BR>* Work interactively within a Freight Broker Team to maximize overall performance<BR>* Build carrier relationships and identifies freight capailities<BR>Requirements:<BR>* Some college preferred<BR>* Proven success in brokering freight and developing carrier relationships<BR>* Existing book of business required<BR>* Minimum 3 years experience in multiple mode Freight Brokering role with strong customer service<BR>* Strong knowledge of truckload pricing models, current market pricing and effective negotiating skills<BR>* Ability to thrive in an environment where earnings potential is dictated by performance<BR>* A positive, motivated, can-do attitude<BR>* Competitive energy to excel beyond goal expectations and desire to "win"<BR>* Strong negotiating and problem solving skills<BR>* Excellent written and verbal communication skills<BR>* Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment<BR>* Demonstrated excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills<BR>* Customer service approach with a sense of urgency<BR>* Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and typing/keyboard skills </font></td>
