This position will participate in ongoing efforts to determine how changes in the cellular microenvironment contribute to cancer progression, and identify signaling targets that may lead to the development of novel therapeutics. The incumbent will employ gene knockout models in vivo and in cultured cells, shRNA and siRNA screening, and immunochemistry to dissect the roles of extracellular matrix and cytokine receptor signaling in cancer progression, and the pathways that lead to altered extracellular matrix receptor expression and function in disease.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> <BR>Required:<BR>* PhD in biotechnology, bioengineering, molecular/cell biology, biochemistry or related field<BR>* Proficient with and demonstrated experience with high throughput instrumentation and techniques used in molecular and cell biology; including immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy<BR>* Minimum three years experience in mammalian cell culture techniques, and experience with growing breast cancer cell lines<BR>* Experience handling chemical and biologically hazardous materials<BR>* Experience with use of murine models of human disease<BR>* Experience managing laboratory supply inventory, reagent preparation, and waste disposal<BR>* Demonstrated ability to learn new and innovative procedures quickly<BR>* Ability to multi-task efficiently and time management<BR>* Familiarity with fields of growth control and transformation in mammalian cells<BR>* Demonstrated knowledge of basic computer software for data generation and record keeping such as Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Adobe Photoshop<BR>* Excellent communication skills with ability to organize and document research data<BR> <BR>Additional Details <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>How To Apply <BR> <BR> Apply here online.
