We believe our employees are the foundation of our Company&#39;s success, and we are committed to continuous learning and quality, focusing on the customer, respect and accountability, flexibility, and good relationships with others.<BR>Blount is an exciting place to work with challenging and rewarding projects, and we are seeking dynamic individuals to join our Company. <BR>SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:<BR>* Precision machining of tooling and machine components by using EDM machinery, OD/ID grinders, Jig grinders, and Surface grinders.<BR>* Perform machine set ups including power feed stops, head stops and wheel length.<BR>* Drill, counterbore, bore, ream, and countersink holes.<BR>EDUCATION: <BR>* High School Diploma or equivalent is required.<BR>* An accredited apprenticeship in Precision Machining is required, including a minimum of 30 credit hours of machine technology courses.<BR>EXPERIENCE: <BR>* Minimum of 3 years experience in jig bore and OD/ID grind.<BR>* Minimum 5 years experience with jig grind and surface grind.<BR>SKILLS: <BR>* Demonstrated ability to grind flat, square, and parallel, and maintain grinders.<BR>* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.<BR>* Excellent mechanical aptitude.<BR>* Must be capable of performing machine operations to close tolerances (+/- .0001).<BR>* Must be able to read and understand blueprints.<BR>* Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
