<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Process Engineer - Cushioning Innovation<BR>Location: OR-Portland<BR>Job Number:_00064469<BR>As our cushioning Process Engineer you will work closely with our Technology and Design engineers as well as Product Innovators to invent, evaluate, understand, develop and improve Nike's Cushioning Technologies and the processes by which they are made. You will be expected to provide plastics processing expertise and conduct designed experiments to further our ability to create great new cushioning systems that help the athlete excel. You will specify, install, program, setup and operate plastics processing equipment such as Thermoformers, Radio Frequency Welders, Injection Molders, robotic apparatus, laser welders and a variety of other processing equipment. You will research and evaluate new equipment and processes from outside venues such as trade shows, vendors, universities and research partners based on Nike's Business needs. You will become familiar with standard footwear processes and shoemaking practices and incorporate this knowledge into new ways to integrate cushioning systems into product. You will primarily work on R&D projects to gain the required processing information then transfer that to our manufacturing team for commercialization.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>Requirements for the position include:<BR>* Bachelor's Degree and at least 5 years relevant work experience in plastics process engineering<BR>* Ideal candidate would have Design of Experiment experience and research methodology knowledge.<BR>* Footwear or sporting goods experience helpful<BR>* Knowledge of manufacturing processes for plastics forming, joining, trimming and decorating preferred<BR>* Demonstrated creative entrepreneurial innovation aptitude desired<BR>* Materials and mechanics of material knowledge desired<BR><BR>Job: Product Development & Engineering </font></td>
