               <td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Title: Product Safety Manager - Global Apparel and Equipment<BR>Location: OR-Portland<BR>Job Number:_00064751<BR>As a Product Safety Manager in our Global Apparel and Equipment Division, you&#39;ll protect the brand and build consumer loyalty by participating in the development, implementation and management of key Nike product safety standards and processes. You&#39;ll identify and prioritize product safety hazards for your categories and will ensure that all necessary stakeholders are informed and involved in the definition of standards and processes to address them. You will need to be able to assess risk of injury, collaborate with relevant global partners on proactive safety solutions and help develop associated training materials for product creation, Liaison Offices, Suppliers, and Vendors. You&#39;ll have a focus on products created by our license partners, including children&#39;s, and be responsible for ensuring product compliance with established Nike product safety standards, sustainable chemistry (RSL), legal, & regulatory requirements. As a member of the Apparel and Equipment product safety team, you will also interact with the Nike Corporate Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance Team, attending regular meetings and providing corporate-level updates. You&#39;ll interface with the Corporate Product Chemistry team to coordinate failure resolution of Equipment products&#39; non-compliance with our corporate RSL or any consumer injury claims being addressed by Risk Management, Legal or other sources. You&#39;ll provide accurate reporting on key product safety metrics by utilizing qualitative and quantitative historical data to drive continuous improvement and handle claims related to product safety. In addition, you&#39;ll broaden product safety and chemistry knowledge through connectivity with the Nike Sustainable Chemistry team and other networks including laboratories, government affairs contacts, sport governing bodies, standards committees and industry working groups.<BR><BR>Qualifications:<BR><BR>* Bachelor&#39;s degree, preferably in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related field<BR>* Minimum 5 years&#39; experience in Product Safety, Quality Engineering/Management, or Chemical Safety/Regulatory Management<BR>* 2 additional years&#39; job related experience in lieu of a degree<BR>* Familiarity with toy and/or children&#39;s product safety standards<BR>* Technical knowledge of analytical techniques and test methods<BR>* Exposure to and knowledge of global regulatory environments <BR>* Strong communication and project management skills<BR>* Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships<BR>* Cross cultural communication skills<BR>* Ability to network and influence internal/external resources<BR>* Ability to simplify complex safety matters for product creation teams<BR>* Strong information-seeking skills and a drive to make things happen<BR>* Knowledge of quality engineering principles and techniques is preferred<BR>* Ability to travel up to 20%                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    </font></td>
