We believe our employees are the foundation of our Company's success, and we are committed to continuous learning and quality, focusing on the customer, respect and accountability, flexibility, and good relationships with others.<BR>As a Product Test Technician within the Blount Performance Lab you will execute tests on OREGON® products, prototypes, and competitive products to evaluate their performance, reliability, and safety attributes as compared to product design parameters or advertising claims. Your strong desire to put new products through their paces and to communicate test results clearly and concisely will help us make better products.<BR>JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:<BR>* Operate lab equipment to execute tests on Blount products, prototypes, and/or competitive products to evaluate their performance, reliability and/or safety attributes<BR>* Analyze data, write test reports, and effectively communicate test status and results with a wide range of customers<BR>* Perform local field tests, participate in gauge studies, and operate Lab computer systems<BR>* Work in cooperation with fellow technicians, engineers, and all others involved with a commitment to continuous improvement<BR>* Maintain test machinery, equipment records, lab facilities, chain saws, and other hand held power equipment<BR>* Support and participate in safety and environmental initiatives<BR>* Provide training to marketing, engineering, manufacturing, and customers<BR>EDUCATION:<BR>* Minimum of a high school diploma or GED required<BR>QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:<BR>* 2+ years of equivalent job related experience operating and testing electro/mechanical products<BR>* Strong hands-on mechanical knack<BR>* Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, knowledge of and skills in electronics: PC Computers, SPC tools, gauge capability, and some experimental design skills<BR>* Experience operating outdoor lawn and garden, industrial, and agricultural equipment<BR>* Familiarity with a wide variety of test and measurement equipment<BR>* Proficiency in MS Office Suite with competence in Excel<BR>* Proven strong communication and collaboration skills<BR>OUR BENEFIT PACKAGE:<BR>* Excellent 401(k) plan with company match<BR>* Medical, dental and life insurance<BR>* Paid vacation and holidays<BR>* Educational Aid reimbursement program<BR>* Opportunities for career advancement and personal growth<BR>* </font></td>
