<td align="left"><font style="font-size: 100%;">Program Technician 1<BR> <BR>Department Hospital Financial Services<BR> <BR>Location FAB 650<BR> <BR>Work Unit Description <BR> <BR> <BR> <BR>Work Schedule, Hours, FTE, Salary Range <BR> <BR> Full-time 1.0 FTE; Schedule: M-F; Salary range: $19.26 - $26.07/hr; Location: Marquam Hill<BR> <BR>Functions/Duties of Position <BR> <BR> This position gathers, compiles, analyzes, and provides technical support to staff by interpreting program policies and controlling regulations, writing and updating policy and/or work manuals, giving technical training, reviewing program operations, and writing reports of findings including recommendations for change. The position provides complex interpretations and recommendations, consultative and decision support to division and/or executive leaders. This analysis is used to help assist with business outcomes. The purpose of this position is to plan, develop, and coordinate the OHSU Hospitals and Clinics internal arrangements. All of these points are listed below in the key responsabilities section. Providing excellent customer service is an integral part of this position.<BR> <BR>Job Requirements <BR> <BR> Three (3) years of experience administering or coordinating parts or subsets of a project or program. A bachelor?s degree in Business Administration, Management, Public Administration, or a field directly related to the position will substitute for two (2) years of the required experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. The successful candidate will have experience in contract preparation and an understanding of medical center financing and related legal issues. Organization, persistence, and issue resolution skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and to exercise sound judgment. Ability to be detail-oriented including accuracy with numbers and data entry. Ability to track large number of different tasks through various stages of development and implementations. Ability to use tact and diplomacy in order to maintain effective working relationships within the department, as well as with hospital department staff, directors, administrators, and the general public. Proficiency with PC-based software in a Windows platform, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, graphics, and e-mail. Demonstrated reliability and successful performance from past work history. Knowledge of basic accounting principles. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
